Dell PowerConnect 5448 48 Port Network Switch
The Dell PowerConnect 5448 is a 48 port Ethernet switch designed to provide Gigabit speeds across all the ports. The switch supports up to 96 Gbps of switching capacity and up to 71.2 Mbps forwarding rate. Four combo ports are part of the 48 ports and enables four Gigabit ports to be used as optional SFP fiber ports. With link aggregation groups, the Dell PowerConnect 5448 switch can be used in high speed enterprise networks.
The PowerConnect 5448 is designed for iSCSI optimization. The switch detects iSCSI-based traffic flow and will tag all iSCSI traffic at a high level of quality of service (QoS) to ensure the traffic is given top priority. The switch supports multicast support, link aggregation, and VLANs. A Voice-VLAN function is also available.
The Dell 5448 is rack-mountable and 1U in rack height. The switch fits in a standard 19" switch chassis.
