Adtran Atlas 800 Series 24-Channel Voice Compression Module 1200221L3
The Adtran 24-Channel Voice Compression Module 1200221L3 provides voice compression for Atlas 800 series gateways. It provides up to 6:1 compression ratio over traditional G.711 phone calls. The module is able to save so much bandwidth by using the G.723.1 compression protocol. The card can compress analog voice calls directed from a channelized T1, BRI, or PRI digital interface. The 1200221L3 can support up to an extra 120 calls across 8 channels (144 total) and supports fax detection to prevent fax messages from being compressed with G.723.1.
These modules are compatible with the 800 Plus, 810 Plus, 830, and 890 Atlas systems.
