The Adtran Total Access 908e Gen 3 Gateway with Lifeline FXO 4243908F2 is an IP business class gateway. The Adtran 4243908F2 includes all the same great features as the Adtran 4243908F1 along with the addition of an FXO lifeline port. The lifeline FXO trunk is used for point to point survivability. The third generation 908e provides connection to 8 FXS ports ( for analog connectivity to support customers remaining analog phones, fax machines, or modems), four T1 ports, two fast Ethernet (10/100) ports, a Gigabit Ethernet port, a USB port, and a craft console cable. The Adtran 4243908F2 is programmable through either a command line interface (CLI) or a web-based graphical user interface (GUI).
The Adtran 908e 3rd gen is a SIP based IP business gateway. The 4243908F2 can terminate SIP trunks into your system for use with the FXS ports on the unit, or to IP based telephones. A full IP router is included with the Total Access 908e system, complete with stateful inspection firewall, quality of Service, VLAN trunking, and Network Address Translation (NAT).
