The G86-SWF module provides redunant switching when two Riverstone Networks G86-SWF Switch Fabric Modules RS8600 are installed. The module in the slot labelled “Fabric 1” serves as the primary switching fabric module, and the module in the slot labelled “Fabric 2” serves as a redundant switching fabric module.
