The PowerDsine 3501 (PD-3501G/AC) is a Gigabit midspan power over Ethernet adapter for end devices that require 802.3af power. The PD-3501G/AC provides power to your line while maintaining Gigabit data throughput from your switch to the end device. Gigabit midspan power injectors are especially useful in situations where a phone and computer share a network drop, but Gigabit to the desktop is still desired.
