The Nortel Norstar FastRAD (NT8B80AR-93) is a remote administration device for the Norstar phone system. The Nortel NT8B80AR-93 provides a built-in modem for connecting the Norstar phone system to a PC. The Nortel FastRAD provides a built in modem at speeds up to 14,000 bps. The NT8B80AR-93 provides access to Norstar remote utilities, Companion Diagnostic System (CDS), and Companion Manager. The Norstar FastRAD can also provide access to Nortel's proprietary Norstar D-channel information. The remote access device can accessed via a console connection or remotely through the PSTN.
