The Nortel 470-48T is a 48 port layer 2 enterprise level networking switch. The Nortel 470-48T is a fast Ethernet switch, providing 48 ports at 10/100 speeds and two Gigabit Ethernet expansion slots. The expansion slots in the Nortel switch are GBIC fiber. The Nortel 470-48T is a managed switch that can be accessed via CLI, Telnet, or HTTP protocols.
