The Digium D40 is the perfect phone for those who don't have a lot of desktop space. The D40 is small, affordable, and utilizes the open source Asterick software. The Digium D40 (1TELD040LF) doesn't skimp on features; this phone supports two line appearances, four soft keys, seven fixed feature keys, six navigation keys, and volume control buttons. The D40 can be powered by PoE (Power over Ethernet), or the optional five volt power supply. This Digium phone also has fantastic handsfree communication features like the full duplex speakerphone and the RJ-9 headset port. Dual integrated fast Ethernet ports (10/100 Mbps) allow your phone and computer to share the same network drop, which is a great way to minimize the clutter of wires behind your desk.
