Cisco SPA508G IP Phone
The Cisco SPA508G IP phone is a small business phone designed for users who need access to several phone lines. Up to eight phone lines can be configured into the SPA508G. The Cisco IP phone provides a backlit display for labeling the line keys and four soft keys. A navigation menu is provided for easily configuring the phone directly from the SPA508G screen. The phone has a two port 10/100 Ethernet port switch that allows for connecting a PC to the same network drop as the SPA508G.
The Cisco SPA508G uses Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) or Smart Phone Control Protocol (SPCP) for Cisco Unified Communications 500 series PBX. The phone can be powered by IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet. Wideband audio support is provided with the Cisco SPA508G. The phone supports several different codecs including G.711, G.726, G.729ab, and G.722 wideband audio codec.
